Where do I start? Kevin Na had a shocker. That can happen; it won’t be the last time a pick completely bombs 💣 on the first day. 47year old Stuart Cink has shot a record 16under par after 36holes at the Heritage. There is a strong chance we are playing for places payouts only already. Followers will have a strong place payout chance with both Ancer and Lowery nicely positioned, and if Cink is to falter, both are capable of going low and winning from here.
I see no need to fire any more bullets at the outright market, given Cink could be tough to catch, so that I will focus on the 2 balls action heading into day 3.
Day 3 - 2 ball bets
Chris Kirk to beat Sepp Straka @ 10/11 - Kirk is a stronger player than Straka , Straka has been losing strokes vs the field around the green in both round this week, and without a super hot putter would find himself closer to even par. He can’t continue you to do that into the weekend. Kirk game has been solid, if not spectacular. I expect his superior short game and putting to prove to strong form Sepp.
Sung Kang to beat Charles Howell @15/8 - both are tied after 2 round , its Kang who’s stats impress me most. He is performing better than Howell in putting , SG around the green and SG approach. In my book 📖 Kang would be at 6/4 shot at most today so with 15/8 available I’m happy 😃 to take him on.
Wonderkid Will Zalatorias to beat Matt Fitzpatrick @ 23/20 - Fitzpatrick gained 5 strokes on the field putting yesterday to put himself in this position on the leaderboard , that is not something he will repeat going into round 3 and 4. He game has been poor with his irons also this week, and therefore I’m happy at odds against, to take the super hot Will Zalatorias to beat him today. Will has been constant if not spectacular in all parts of his game this week. His more consistent Iron play should set up plenty of opportunities for a low score on moving day. I’ll take Happy Gilmore’s old caddie to do the job.
Let’s hope that CINK falters over the weekend and 1 of our 2 outright picks still in this ,can string some 🐦 🦅 together, giving us some real interest this time tomorrow. I’d be hopeful 1 if not both can run into place payout positions.
